When creating my last project my jacquard design began to look like kaleidoscopes due to the repetition of them. This is an aspect of my previous project that I would like to continue into my final major project. I found drawing from kaleidoscopes extremely difficult sand was unsure on how to recreate this effect. I was planning on spending a day in the mac lab making simplistic designs and attempting to create them with a kaleidoscope feel to them however, I feel that this would have not recreated the same stunning and eye catching effect found in my previous project. Whilst playing around on my new ipad mini I came across the photo booth app in which you can take photos using different effects and luckily I was extremely happy to find that one of the effects is a kaleidoscope!! I then started to have a play around with it and here are some of the outcomes.
I really like the outcomes and think that they are very visually appealing. I intend to use this effect and take images of my visual studies to use on the jacquard loom.
